What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant (Day Shift) - Full Time position at IRMC?
In this role you will be:
- Checking and changing chemicals in both departments.
- Ordering chemical sand supplies for both departments including patient care linen.
- Multitasking and utilizing basic computer skills.
- Operating washing machines, picking up linen, delivering exchange carts, sorting linen, hanging on the rail system, loading/unloading, and operating washing machines and dryers.
- Properly turning on/off the ironer, controlling the steam, running the small piece folder and cross folder.
- Operating the lift baskets.
- Taking linen orders, preparing the orders, labeling them, and getting them to the loading dock for transfers to satellite areas.
- Familiar with both the janitor and housekeeper duties.
