Job Summary
Provides care through demonstrated competency in the deliver/management of anesthesia care, Provides care for elective and emergent procedures. Works collaboratively with management, physicians, and other members of the patient care team. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the span of life. Identifies each patient’s age specific needs and provides appropriate care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. Required in-house call. Provides clinical activities as set forth in the CRNA Clinical Activity List
Job Specification
- Minimum Education Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Graduate of an approved school of Anesthesia
- Minimum Experience Required
- 1 Year of clinical experience, including pediatrics, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification Required
- Current PA license as registered nurse.
Current, valid certificate from the counsel on re-certification of Nurse Anesthetists. - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required.
- Current PA license as registered nurse.
- GRNA candidates for this certification must meet the following criteria:
- A Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Nurse who is eligible to sit for an upcoming Nurse Anesthesia Certification Examination.
- This person will not be permitted to cover 24 – hour in – house call.
- The GRNA will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.
- This position will be afforded to a new employee for one certification cycle only. At that time the employee must successfully pass the certification exam to meet the requirement.
