Overview
We seek a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative for engineered metal buildings and metal building components to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building relationships within the metal building industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, knowledge of metal buildings and the estimating of metal buildings, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new engineered metal building and metal building component sales opportunities through prospecting and networking within your territory.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Estimate metal building projects while utilizing MBS Software.
- Interpret architectural drawings.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team to align strategies and share market insights.
- Develop territory management strategies to maximize market penetration and achieve sales targets.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to position our products effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience in an outside sales role, demonstrating a track record of success in meeting or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with MBS software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively.
- Experience in territory sales management, focusing on developing new business opportunities.
- Familiarity with technical sales processes is a plus, enabling you to communicate product benefits effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to build rapport with clients quickly.
