What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time, DAY SHIFT RN or LPN position at Iron County Medical Center?
Responsibilities:
- Must acknowledge and continuously demonstrate that the patient comes first AT ALL TIMES and is entitled to compassionate care and respect
- Collaborate with Providers, RNs and/or Med-Surg leaders in achieving the best possible experience and outcome for each and every patient
- Accurately and efficiently collect data and evaluate patient’s issues and needs
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills and professionalism necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, principals of physical and psychosocial growth and development over the life span, cultural diversity and learning spectrum of each patient
- Initiating and maintaining patient files and charts as requested
- Collect supplies, set up and assist providers and RNs with examinations, tests and procedures as training and skills permit at supervisor’s discretion
- Demonstrated skills in sterile or aseptic technique
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records, discussions and issues at all times
- Effectively operate all equipment in assigned work area in a safe and effective manner
Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess a current Missouri License to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Work experience in line with RN and LPN job assignments
- Ability to successfully complete job-specific and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred
- Must be able to multi-task, exercise good judgment, be dependable, and capable of independently carrying out assigned tasks and day-to-day duties efficiently, effectively, and with courtesy and professionalism and meet established physical requirements of job
