ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONAL

Pay Range: $51,000—$55,000

Job Summary:

Will ensure complete and systematic accounting of receipts and disbursements by performing complex bookkeeping tasks and applying accepted procedures in preparing and maintaining accounting records.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares financial reports and accounting statements.
• Posts journal entries to general ledger.
• Generates summary sheets for use by supervisor or auditor.
• Processes payroll and prepares payroll reports.
• Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
• Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
• Works as primary liaison with our CPA, Tax, and Auditing Firms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of QuickBooks Online with the ability to train others.
• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficiency and accuracy in keyboarding/typing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar online software.
• Ability to handle multiple companies and tasks.

Education and Experience:

• At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting.
• HR Experience is optional, but a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
