Barback, Busser, and Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback/ food runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Barback/ food runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Help bartender with restocking, dishes, ice, ect.
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
• Assist servers by providing support with table settings and clearing dishes as needed.
• Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and meet quality standards before serving.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or modifications to orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bussing tables and restocking supplies.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately for any transactions required during service.
• Adhere to all food safety and handling guidelines to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in roles related to food service or hospitality.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and equipment usage.
• Experience using POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of food handling practices to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
