We are looking for candidates with mechanical assembly experience, especially those familiar with bolted connections, torque specifications, precision measurement, and reading technical schematics. Whether you're a boilermaker, industrial mechanic, or heavy equipment technician, your skills can transfer well to this role. No railcar experience? No problem! We provide thorough on-the-job training for candidates with strong mechanical backgrounds.
What You’ll Do:
- Repair and test various railcar valves, including ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, and safety relief valves.
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, measure, reassemble, and test valves to ensure they meet AAR (Association of American Railroads) regulations.
- Read and follow detailed technical specifications, torque requirements, and calibration procedures for each valve.
- Use precision tools to measure tolerances and ensure high-quality repairs.
- Document every step of the repair process using a tablet-based tracking system.
- Work both in our shop and at customer sites as needed.
- Collaborate with a team and follow OSHA safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Experience in valve repair, boilermaking, industrial mechanics, or mechanical assembly.
✅ Familiarity with bolted connections, torqueing procedures, and technical schematics.
✅ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and safety documentation.
✅ Comfortable with tablet-based documentation and following precise procedures.
✅ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
✅ Valid driver’s license (some travel may be required).

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
