What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Technician position at Iron Mountain Hot Springs?
Position Description: Responsible for all repairs and upkeep of the Iron Mountain Hot Springs property. This includes but is not limited to: preventative maintenance and repair tasks assigned via a work order system and the associated documentation, pool cleanings, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, minor construction projects, and assisting with maintaining all grounds and landscaping. Will work with other Iron Mountain Hot Springs Maintenance personnel and will be led by the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager on Duty. The position will uphold our Core Values, Vision and Mission at all times.
Compensation: This position pays $23/hour - $30/hour including supplemental tip average depending on qualifications and level of experience. Base pay is $20.00 to $26.00/hour with tip sharing across property that averages to $3.00/hour to $4.00/hour.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications:

- Mechanics
- Building Construction
- Plumbing
- HVAC Systems
- Minor electrical (troubleshooting)
- Landscaping
- AED/First aid and CPR certified (Company will provide)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and document maintenance inspections and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license, 18 years of age and high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in pool operation preferred.
- Strong focus on safety procedures.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail & project completion
- Critical thinking skills to work through various issues that arise.
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively in the presence of guests and co-workers.
- Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by your supervisor/manager.
- Must be patient, poised and able to cope with special situations.
- Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary.
- Available to work weekends, holidays, early or late shifts.
- Able to interpret both written & verbal instructions.
- Able to use tablet or web interface for documentation.
