We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Critical Facility Technician with expertise in electrical systems and HVAC systems. This role is crucial to maintaining the operational efficiency and reliability of our data center facilities. The technician will ensure that all electrical and HVAC systems run smoothly and comply with safety standards, mitigating potential risks and downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including power distribution units, backup generators, transformers, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
- Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to ensure optimal environmental conditions within the data center, including cooling units, air handlers, and associated controls.
- Monitor and manage critical equipment within the data center to ensure systems are operating within required parameters.
- Ensure all work meets local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Perform scheduled and emergency service calls related to electrical and HVAC systems.
- Respond to alarms, failures, and operational issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to complete facility upgrades, expansion projects, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of facility management procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance.
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts to provide 24/7 support as required.

Pay: $30.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Proven experience as an electrician, with expertise in electrical systems for commercial or industrial facilities.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure environments preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical and HVAC codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to critical situations.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in Electrical, HVAC, or related fields preferred.
- Relevant electrical certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician License) and HVAC certification preferred.
- Previous experience in data center or critical facility operations is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and access elevated areas.
Exposure to high-voltage systems and demanding environmental conditions in the data center.
