Iron Oak Energy is looking for a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Kermit, TX. location. The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise, schedule, and direct maintenance work and coordinate with other supervisors to accomplish daily maintenance requirements for mobile equipment, stationary equipment, and continued maintenance of plant buildings, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the job training, safety, housekeeping, and employee relations within the maintenance and warehouse function
- Accept personal responsibility for your own safety by working to maintain a safe work environment and evaluating all tasks utilizing the SLAM risk protocol. Report all near-hit incidents, unsafe acts, or situations and injuries.
- Be responsible for the training and implementation of the Iron Oak Energy Safety & Health Electrical Safety Program (NFPA70E-Based Arc-Flash Safe Work Practices in the Work Place), within the maintenance and warehouse function
- Direct and oversee activities of maintenance personnel to achieve a safe and efficient utilization of manpower, material, and facilities
- Execute daily work from the weekly Maintenance schedule. Continually communicate with operations to coordinate equipment downtime needs to execute scheduled work.
- Distribute scheduled work orders to maintenance workers and oversee jobs from start to finish to assure quality and timely repairs are being performed.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner/Warehouse Supervisor to plan out jobs. This includes man hour estimates (task duration), material needs, and equipment needs.
- Ensure that all employees have the proper training to complete their assigned job during each shift that is worked and provide training when needed.
- Ensure that all employees have the proper equipment and tools to perform their jobs. This includes all safety equipment (PPE) and clothing.
- Maintain open communications with subordinates and superiors, both orally and by written reports
- Supervise and inspect the installation of capital project equipment
- Work closely with the Purchasing Supervisor/Warehouse Supervisor to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality maintenance parts and supplies
- Recommend changes in standards, work methods, and procedures to improve performance, productivity, and profitability
- Recommend equipment and process modifications to improve efficiencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Apprenticeship, Associate or Bachelors degree in a related field a plus
- 3-5 years of related maintenance experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, SharePoint, IFS is a plus.
