Job Summary
The Apparel, Parts, Gear, and Accessory Sales Associate at our Powersports Dealership serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking parts, accessories, and apparel. This role combines product knowledge with customer service skills to identify customer needs, process orders, and maintain inventory. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication abilities, technical aptitude to navigate parts catalogs, and sales skills to meet department goals. This position requires balancing multiple responsibilities including handling transactions, managing inventory, processing special orders, and creating an exceptional customer experience that builds long-term relationships with powersports enthusiasts.

This job is paid hourly plus commission.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in the parts department
• Identify customer needs for parts, accessories, and apparel
• Process parts orders and maintain accurate inventory records
• Answer phone inquiries about parts availability and pricing
• Use dealership management software to look up parts
• Assist with cross-selling related products and accessories
• Maintain knowledge of current product lines and promotions
• Arrange special orders for customers when items aren't in stock
• Process sales transactions including credit cards and financing
• Restock shelves and maintain organized displays
• Assist with physical inventory counts
• Track and follow up on back-ordered parts
• Handle warranty parts returns and exchanges
• Communicate with service department regarding parts for repairs
• Stay current on manufacturer updates and technical information
• Build relationships with repeat customers and dealership vendors
• Maintain a clean and professional parts department
• Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments
• Meet sales goals established by dealership management
• Participate in dealership events and promotions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of powersports vehicles and parts (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to use parts catalogs and inventory management systems
• Sales aptitude and ability to meet department goals
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills for addressing customer needs
• Basic math abilities for handling transactions
• Passion for powersports industry and products
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings
• Valid driver's license
• Team-oriented mindset

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
