Job Description
- Regularly perform network maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks related to complex issues.
- This includes diagnosing and resolving issues related to optical and/or IP backbone networks, ensuring minimal downtime and mitigating repeat offenders
- Support on-call rotation focused on nuanced failures and escalations (including weekends and holidays) Work closely with other engineers, and external vendors.
- Collaborate on projects, share knowledge, and coordinate efforts to achieve network goals Maintain detailed documentation of the network’s design, configurations, and changes
- Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions
- Information Technology Functional Experience: Minimum of 5 years working within network or infrastructure operations, deployment, design, engineering, and/or support teams.
- Minimum of 5 years experience partnering to translate performance issues into improvement plans with enterprise and service provider vendors such as network hardware platforms(Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, and Arista),
- ITAD vendors, logistics vendors, and colocation vendors Proficient in at least one of the network domains: IP network, optical network, caching appliance infrastructure, CDN/Edge network, including topology, protocol, hardware and architectures.
