Ironclad Defense Works Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Norfolk, Virginia . As a leader in defense services and solutions, Ironclad Defense Works supports a variety of critical projects for government and industry partners. Position Overview : The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and supporting financial reporting processes (accrual accounting). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities : Process accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Prepare and submit invoices to government and commercial clients Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports Support month-end and year-end closing procedures Maintain organized financial records and documentation Ensure compliance with DCAA and other regulatory requirements Coordinate with project managers on contract billing and budget tracking Provide support during audits and financial reviews Qualifications : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2 years of accounting experience (government contracting experience is a plus) Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and DCAA compliance is highly desirable Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines U.S. Citizenship required (due to the nature of our work) What We Offer : Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and federal holidays Opportunities for professional development A collaborative and mission-focused work environment Apply Today!
