Job Description

The Armed Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a vigilant and proactive individual who can effectively respond to security incidents while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for protecting property, assets, and individuals through the use of appropriate security measures.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
• Conduct thorough inspections of premises, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety and security.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with best practices in security operations.
  
  

Skills

• Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
• Knowledgeable in first aid and CPR certification; ability to provide immediate assistance during medical emergencies.
• Experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or irregularities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
