Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Commercial Construction Project Managerwho will wear many hats—handling everything fromproject management and property tours to property management responsibilities. While experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or equivalent software is preferred, it is not required. This role demands exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage project timelines, oversee construction activities, coordinate property operations, and ensure quality control. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, communication, and multitasking, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
Team Coordination:
- Facilitate communication and coordination among internal teams and external vendors and tenants.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize CAD software or equivalent to review, modify, and approve design plans.
- Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Technology & Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to leverage technology for project scheduling, budgeting, document management, and communication.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed tenant and ownership expectations.
- Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Allocate resources effectively, balancing team workloads and project requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and photos.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and regular status updates to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering or design projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Estimation or Project Management.
- Experience with CAD software.
Working Conditions
- This position does require occasional travel to project sites or client locations.
- Ability to work in an office setting with standard office equipment.
