Overview
This position is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of all active projects in the Arizona market. This includes strategic oversight of project management processes and procedures, training and development of project management staff, risk analysis and mitigation, and effective relationship management of all project and company stakeholders. This position will work closely with the General Superintendent and Leadership Team to ensure project management efforts in the Arizona market are aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values and that all company objectives are met.
Responsibilities
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide overall management for all Ironmark's active projects in the Arizona market; lead project team(s) and ensure project success with all construction partners.
- Ensure consistent performance and project delivery from preconstruction phase through all phases to project completion.
- Directs and coordinates project activities to ensure project progresses on schedule, on-time completion and within prescribed budget
- Ensure that day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents from Preconstruction to when work commences in the field.
- Lead interactions, negotiations and provide robust solutions in collaboration with all key clients and stakeholders.
- Represent Ironmark to the Owner(s), Architects, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
- Participate in bid proposal kick-off meetings.
- Assist and manage proposal responses, schedule development, and lead shortlist presentations for the team.
- Manage the overall financial health of projects; work with the actual billings on projects and with President and Controller to ensure a smooth financial process on all projects.
- Review subcontracts, scopes of work, and change orders prior to approval by company President.
- Lead Project Management, Quality Review, and Project Closeout activities.
- Regularly visit job sites to monitor project performance. Maintain relationships with field teams, identify potential challenges and collaborate with field leadership to anticipate and respond to challenges with schedule and budget, where applicable.
- Negotiate with the Owner and subcontractors on projects to maintain an efficient and well-run project.
- Functions as the main point of escalation with the owner and on-site representative
- Identify and engage in opportunities for personal interaction and networking of those that surround the client, including architects, engineers, brokers, and other staff associated with supporting the client.
- Directly leads and mentors Project Management teams, including mentoring, training and coaching Project Managers, Project Engineers, and PE Interns to perform to Ironmark standards
- Operates as an Ironmark brand ambassador, actively representing the company in any setting that could lead to new business with current and existing clients.
