The Account Coordinator - Print Production will rely on their print production experience and knowledge to understand the print production requirements of each job and to manage the end-to-end print production process. The Account Coordinator’s ability to manage print production projects, build customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service is key to Ironmark’s success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end print production process, from project initiation to delivery, providing updates to the relevant sales team member and, in some instances, to the client.
- Collaborate with Sales Team members and clients to gather project specifications.
- Review all materials from electronic media to laser and color match proofs, making sure these meet necessary requirements to produce a quality final print product.
- Review the specifications/information in the estimate, the customer’s file(s), and the customer’s instructions, to ensure that all information matches and is correct. If the information/specs do not match, contact the Sales Team member and/or the Estimator to clarify and resolve so that all information matches and is accurate.
- Accurately enter orders into organizational information systems in accordance with established Customer Service and Estimating Department processes.
- Collaborate with production departments to efficiently and accurately move print projects through departments, answering inquiries and resolving job-specific issues resulting in the completion of the order to the customer’s satisfaction. Identify and troubleshoot any problems, maintaining the project schedule and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of the final, delivered product.
- Monitor and update key date information in organizational systems, including promise date, proof-in date, and proof-out date.
- Properly communicate Mail specifications and data file(s) for print projects.
- Create purchase orders, coordinating with vendors to provide the correct specifications, to ensure that schedules are met, and to resolve any issues. Communicate and obtain customer approvals when needed.
- Establish customer inventory for print products, assigning inventory ids for items that will be used for online stores, mailings, and other customer needs. Subsequently monitor inventory levels.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, departments, and vendors.
- Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure all client requests are completed in a timely manner
- End-to-end account ownership from initiation to managing budget, timeline and deliverables
- Manage the team status reports and update them on a regular basis
Qualifications
- Preferred Experience: 3 years of experience in the print industry or combination of experience and training.
- Excellent knowledge of printing processes and equipment, press specifications and capabilities to produce digital and offset printing.
- Strong knowledge of specifications for paper and inks needed to produce all quality levels of printing.
- Comfort with technology and ability to quickly become proficient in organizational software used to input and track sales orders.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively to negotiate with customers/vendors.
- Strong math, organizational, project management, and planning skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, able to use Ironmark resources to their fullest.
- Possesses a positive customer-orientation and an ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.
