We're looking for Inside Sales Representative to assist Business Development & Outside Sales develop sales strategies & manage existing customers.
Must have construction material sales experience in rough to finish stages due to our product offerings; Hardware, Fasteners, Nails, Tools, Exterior & Interior Material Products
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Sell and service customers, providing pricing and product application information.
- Make inside sales generation priority #1 by taking phone/email orders; provide delivery information.
- Prepares quotes and follow up as required in a timely fashion.
- Service Outside Sales /Business Development staff as required — provide timely feedback and a "heads up" on large quotes.
- Input all orders into sales order entry system in a timely fashion.
- Schedule orders according to customer requirements.
- Communicate honestly and succinctly with the purchasing department.
- Maintain day-to-day customer relations and service duties.
- Stay current on product knowledge.
- Know the company catalog inside and out.
- Perform as-needed vendor relations and negotiations.
- Maintain computer and software-related skills.
- Attend department and company meetings, as requested.
- Assist with counter sales as needed.
- Provide promotional literature and product information as requested.
- Keep supervisors apprised of customer issues as warranted.
- Assist with the company's inventory management program when required.
- Perform duties inherent to all inside sales staff.
- Make phone sales calls; create and maintain customer lists.
- Suggest related "add-on" items for customer orders.
- Communicate with outside sales and management regarding job starts and sites.
- Communicate with customers regarding new products added or customer feedback on potential new products.
- Assist other inside sales staff when needed.
- Work with warehouse & delivery teams to schedule deliveries in the timley manner
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 Years of Construction Material Sales ( Hardware, Tools, Exterior & Interior Materials )
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Strong Planning, Problem Solving & Negotiation Skills
- Experience with take offs
- English / Spanish is a must
- Valid D/L with Acceptable Driving Record Required
Reports to: General Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $25.79 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
