We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Disc Jockey (DJ) to join our team. As a DJ, you will be responsible for curating playlists, interacting with guests, and ensuring an unforgettable experience through your music selection and performance skills.
Responsibilities
- Curate and mix music playlists tailored to the event's theme and audience preferences.
- Engage with guests to create a lively atmosphere, encouraging participation and enjoyment.
- Set up and test sound equipment prior to events to ensure optimal audio quality.
- Communicate effectively with event coordinators and clients to understand their vision and requirements.
- Perform public speaking duties, including making announcements and introducing special segments of the event.
- Market your services through social media and networking to attract new clients.
- Assist with heavy lifting of equipment during setup and breakdown of events.
- Stay updated on current music trends and popular tracks to keep your sets fresh and relevant.

Qualifications

Technical Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a DJ (club, event, wedding, or radio experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of different music genres and the ability to read a crowd
- Proficiency in DJ software
- Ability to mix, blend, and transition tracks smoothly
- Experience using DJ equipment (turntables, controllers, mixers, speakers, microphones)
- Basic sound system setup and troubleshooting skills
Personal Skills:
- Strong stage presence and ability to engage the audience
- Good communication skills for making announcements and interacting with guests
- Adaptability to different event styles, themes, and audience preferences
- Ability to handle song requests and adjust the playlist accordingly
- Creativity in mixing and creating unique sounds
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to and from gigs

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.99 - $30.37 per hour
