This small community hospital is seeking a fulltime permanent Clinical Pharmacist / PIC . The Pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of the hospital pharmacy. The Director of Pharmacy functions as a working pharmacist.
Clinical Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Responsible for planning budgeting directing and supervising pharmacy activities and personnel. Acts as a resource for all healthcare providers and monitors efficacy and safety of medication administration.
Essential Functions Clinical Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) :
- Develops departmental goals and objectives and implements policies and procedures.
- Reviews department performance effects changes as needed to improve services provided and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manages and oversees department budget.
- Prepares directs and maintains departmental reports.
- Coordinates the duties and assigns daily work assignments of all pharmacy staff.
- Supervises inventory control to meet patient needs.
- Selects vendors and directly inspects pharmaceutical items received.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations.
- Conduct staff meetings trainings and orientation.
- Establish work schedule and interviews / selects staff.
