Tax Preparer

Busy tax office is looking for an ownership-minded individual to assist with tax preparation in the upcoming tax year. This role is production-based so we are looking for a seasoned tax accountant or preparer who wants to build or retain their own book of business, in addition to helping with existing clientele. Knowledge of tax planning strategies a must. This position is strictly for a person who is driven to be paid what they are worth and can financially sustain themselves as there is no salary. Flexible schedule, no limits on time away from the office. Position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, only for those who want more control over their work/life balance.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Tax Manager at IRONTREE Wealth Management. The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, preparation, and ensuring adherence to tax laws. While the role is primarily based in Kankakee Township, IL, there is flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

At least 5 years or more in tax preparation, accounting and or/wealth management positions.

• Tax Planning and Tax Compliance expertise
• Experience in Tax Preparation and Tax Law
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and practices
• Ability to analyze complex financial information
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• CPA, or EA certification or preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Valid PTIN
• Must pass background check
