Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers has beautiful state-of-the-art integrated Cancer and Women's Centers, with locations strategically located throughout the Valley. Each one provides a superior cancer care environment with a full spectrum of cancer related services for patients. Our multi-disciplinary team approach includes surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, women's centers, diagnostic imaging services, social service support, nutritionist, integrative services, and genetic counseling.

Position Summary :
Provides administrative support for the Medical Director of Supportive Care Services. Provides support to team members in the department and runs the volunteer program. Interfaces with all levels of internal management and staff along with patients and their families daily. Performs job duties and responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provides administrative support for the Medical Director of Supportive Care Services.Interfaces with internal departments and external customers to schedule, organize, and assist with support groups and classes for oncology patients.Provides support to department dietitians and social workers with administrative tasks and patient communication.Manages the volunteer program including recruitment, onboarding, maintaining volunteer files, communication with volunteers and conflict management.Assists in new employee orientation about the Supportive Care Services department.Manages department email inbox.Coordinates department meetings and creates agenda and meeting notes for meetings.Coordinates with marketing department for class schedules and announcements.Must be able to have a flexible work schedule.Travel between offices and within the Phoenix area as necessary.Responsible for special projects as assigned.Must be able to type and work on a computer.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, administrator, or physicians.Maintains a professional, team oriented, positive attitude.Demonstrates a passion for patient wellness and excellence in patient care.Minimum Qualifications
Ability to use office equipment, computer.Proficiency in EMR and MS Office (MS Excel in particular).Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Highly accomplished interpersonal skills.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulationsKnowledge of diagnostic testing and cancer care preferred.Excellent writing skills required- evidenced by examples and / or experienceMust have reliable transportation.Education and / or Experience :
1-2 years of experience in community programming preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Social Work preferred.Prior experience working with volunteers helpful.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
