Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers has beautiful state-of-the-art integrated Cancer and Breast Centers, with locations strategically located throughout the Valley. Each one provides a superior cancer care environment with a full spectrum of cancer related services for patients. Our multi-disciplinary team approach includes surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast centers, diagnostic imaging services, social service support, nutritionist, integrative services, and genetic counseling.

Position Summary :
Provide social services to our patients and families in order to support them through their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Performs job duties and responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Facilitate support groups and educational in-services.
- Assist patients with community resources for patient needs.
- Active participant in the supportive care services team.
- Contribute to patient education activities including lunch and learn presentations and newsletter blogs.
- Support operations of boutiques for wigs and pantry resources.
- Support volunteer program.
- Assist patients with financial applications for AHCCS, disability, and charitable foundation grants.
- Flexibility with daily schedule to accommodate some weekend and evening classes.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel to different offices based on the needs of the patients.
- Must be able to type and work on a computer.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, administrator, or physicians.
