WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Material Controller must be able to create and maintain material handling systems that are focused on reduction of non-value added (NVA) time and increased efficiency.
ACCOUNTABILITIES IN THE ROLE:
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures. All Quality Systems procedures and work instructions are consistently followed.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to support customer requirements.
- Preparing/staging material for all production shifts
- Review schedule for conflicts of material and notify scheduling
- Maintain supplies for material handling area: Pigs, clamps…
- Assist in prioritizing auxiliary equipment cleaning schedule (dryers, granulators, etc)
- Perform daily material inventory audits and ensures errors are reconciled
- Assist in auxiliary equipment cleaning as needed
- Perform mold set up and change overs in a back up capacity
- Maintain 5s check sheets for material area and ensure any discrepancies are improved
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Able to use Microsoft products (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel) . Able to effectively use company ERP system (IQMS) in areas that pertain to your responsibilities.
- Must maintain for forklift license.
REPORTS TO:
Materials Manager – Ironwood Division
CORE HOURS:
This will be an hourly day shift position. Hours are from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm but can be flexible.
DIRECT REPORTS:
There are no direct reports.
TRAVEL:
Travel is necessary to obtain new business and to the Ironwood location for training.
