Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care, with experience in tree trimming, tree removal, tree climbing and the operation of bucket trucks. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while working at heights. As a Tree Climber, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and aesthetics of trees in various environments.
Duties
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and enhance the appearance of trees.
- Operate bucket trucks and Grapple Saw safely and efficiently for high-access work on trees.
- Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches safely and minimize risk during tree removal or trimming.
- Conduct inspections of trees to assess health and identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to execute landscape projects, including lawn care and garden maintenance.
- Maintain equipment and tools used in tree care operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks at heights.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tree trimming, tree care, or related landscape services is preferred.
- Familiarity with bucket truck operation is highly desirable.
- The ability to safely climb tree's, install rigging, and coordinate tree removal with the ground crew.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) may be beneficial for mapping tree locations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to climb trees and work at heights safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred; additional certifications in arboriculture or related fields are a plus.
