We seeking a skilled and experienced CMM Operator to join our team in Westland, Michigan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform quality inspections on machined parts and tooling. If you have a strong mechanical background and experience in CMM/precision measuring instruments, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines/Hexagon (CMM) to inspect machined parts and tooling
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Interpret schematics and CAD drawings to ensure accurate measurements
- Collaborate with the production team to address any quality issues
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results
-Weld, cut, and etch on a PaxIt Microscope
-Plant level "Red Bin" disposition and auditing.
Qualifications:
- 3 years' proficiency in operating CMM equipment (Hexagon preferred)
- Ability to interpret data.
-Minitab, gauge management/calibration
- Familiarity with stamping machines and tooling processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge for interpreting technical drawings
- Experience with PC-DMIS software a plus
- Experience with PLEX software a plus
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
