Job Title : Activity Aide
Department : Resident Home
Status : Full Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule : 9 : 30am-6 : 00 pm
Summary / Objective
The Activity assistant is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and supervising scheduled therapeutic activities for all residents.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Participates and contributes to resident care planning
- Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.
- Coordinates with area churches for religious services.
- Assess, plans and implements activities which are within their capabilities, therapeutic needs which includes one to one activities and community functions.
- Strives to obtain new volunteers and is able to work well with them.
- Constantly strives to implement new activities each month.
- Ensures mail is distributed Monday through Saturday (delegate as needed).
- Implements arts and craft projects.
- Cares and maintains the aviary.
- Contributes to organizational operations by performing other related duties as assigned.

The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
