Job Title: Lead Housekeeper/Floor Tech
Department: Environmental Services
Status: Full-Time, Evenings
Schedule: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Summary/Objective
Assist Environmental Services Director in the day to day function of the department. Maintain a high level of quality in all aspects of the department’s duties, by training, supporting, supervising and interacting with department team members. Ensure that all schedules are assigned and completed daily. Set a positive example for the department through professional interactions with team members, customers, patients and families and other members of the hospital community. Perform other duties as assigned by the director. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. As a Floor Technician, cleaning and maintaining all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility, perform preventive maintenance on special floor equipment.

- Report to work in approved uniform (shirt, pants, ID badge).
- Provide assignments and assistance to team members as required by the needs of the hospital.
- Train new housekeeping team members.
- Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance.
- Adjust or cover schedules as needed during times of short staffing or call offs.

Ensure that team members maintain set standards by conducting quality assurance
surveys. - Monitor and report any equipment issues or shortages.
- Assess the condition of floors that need to be cared for and devise methods to clean, buff or refinish them.
- Perform buffing and refinishing activities to ensure that designated floors are kept shiny and clean.
- Dust and machine scrub hallways to ensure cleanliness.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on all floor care equipment and tools prior to using.
- Operate floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, floor machine, wet and dry vacuums.
- Cleans carpets as needed.
- Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely.
- Observe safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs “wet floor”.
- Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Floor care experience.

Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, Saint Anne, IL and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.
