Duties and Responsibilities
- Works under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Performs patient related activities as are assigned by the supervising therapist.
- Assists patients to reach examination and treatment rooms.
- Maintains statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by the DOR.
- Supports therapists with complicated treatments.
- Assists with in-service training programs upon request.
- Assists with keeping supplies in good order and keeping equipment and the rehab office/gym clean and sanitary.
- Sanitizes therapeutic equipment and ensures that facilities are kept clean and tidy.
- Submits requisition for supplies needed in the treatment of residents to DOR.
- Answers phones, sets up appointments, and responds to patient queries.
- Performs administrative and clerical duties as needed, such as updating patients' information on the database, responding to patients' concerns, and assisting rehabilitation staff on medical procedures.
- Greets patients, schedules treatments, and coordinates the therapists and treatment schedules.
- Answering call lights and relaying need to clinical staff.
- Arrives to work on time, regularly, and working as scheduled, responsible for own transportation.
- Observes and practices confidentiality of resident information and privacy when performing job duties.
- Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.
- Performs assigned duties according to the service excellence standards and goals established for this position, and for all staff members of the facility.
- Attends facility meetings, staff meetings, and required or preferred in-services.
- Generates and develops ideas which improve the quality of care for patients in the facility.
- Performs all position duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this facility.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them from appropriate manual.
- Exhibits the highest level of customer service for residents, staff and visitors.
- Ability to work with the highest efficiency and time management.
- Exhibits flexibility and consistently demonstrates the ability to respond to changing situations to meet facility and patient needs.
- Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.

- Abides by the facility’s businesses code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor, management staff or Administrator
Qualifications
- Clerical or clinical experience may be advantageous.
- CNA certification a plus.
- Data entry and computer skills.
