Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will ensure that all vehicles are in safe, reliable, and optimal working condition to meet the operational demands of our organization. This role involves managing preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Maintenance Oversight:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for the fleet.
- Monitor vehicle performance and manage repairs to reduce downtime.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain forklifts, vehicles, and trailers to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all fleet vehicles meet safety and regulatory compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures for the fleet.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and train a team of mechanics and maintenance staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor work quality, and provide performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability.
Vendor and Budget Management:
- Source and negotiate with vendors for parts, supplies, and services.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and operate within the approved budget.
- Develop cost-effective strategies to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Source and purchase new vehicles, trailers and equipment as needed to support business operations.
Fleet Management:
- Track vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improve processes.
- Coordinate with managers to minimize vehicle downtime.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or vehicle repair, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

- Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
