What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Representative position at Irr Supply Centers, Inc.?
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, alternating Saturdays 8:00 AM to noon
This is an outside sales position with a focus on building and maintaining customer relationships through regular on-site visits to job sites and customer locations. Initially, during the training period, this role will require working inside our branch location to become familiar with our products, services, and internal processes. Over time, the majority of your time will be spent outside, engaging directly with customers to drive sales and develop relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a predetermined sales territory, focusing on servicing and growing business with existing customers. This includes visiting customer job sites and places of business regularly.
- Utilize product knowledge to assist customers with selecting the best products, explaining features, benefits, warranties, troubleshooting, competitive comparisons, promotional programs, and manufacturer terms.
- Regularly update and maintain sales records, assist the credit department, and work towards maximizing profitability in your territory.
- Collaborate with the sales and branch manager to set sales and profit goals, breaking them into monthly targets and tracking progress.
- Complete weekly call planners to set objectives, track results, and communicate customer needs, market conditions, or trends.
- Present a positive image to customers by maintaining professionalism, a pleasant attitude, and prompt work habits, showing genuine interest in their needs and delivering excellent service.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in a related industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet targets.
- Must be able to undergo a drug screening test.
- Reliable transportation to and from the branch location and customer sites.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
