Position Summary :
Irvine Company Apartment Development is a prominent real estate company that owns and manages over 65,000 apartment homes in highly sought-after locations across Coastal California. With a focus on providing exceptional living experiences, the company is expanding its apartment portfolio. To facilitate this growth, we are seeking an experienced designer to join our team and contribute to the planning and design of new apartment communities, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), property reinvestments, and the development of innovative rental housing product types.
Job Duties : Objectives :
- New Apartment Communities : Irvine Company Apartment Development delivers new rental housing communities in strategic locations throughout California. The architect will participate in conceptualizing, planning, and designing these communities, ensuring they meet our high quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal standards. This includes collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to bring the vision to life.
- Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) : ADUs are becoming increasingly popular as an efficient use of space and a solution to the housing shortage. The architect will be responsible for designing and integrating ADUs into existing apartment communities or as standalone units, creating living spaces that are both practical and visually appealing while adhering to local building codes and regulations.
- Portfolio Reinvestment : Irvine Apartment Communities is committed to continuously enhancing its existing portfolio. The architect will contribute to reinvestment projects by assessing current properties, identifying areas for improvement, and developing design solutions to elevate the resident experience, enhance sustainability, and align with evolving trends and preferences.
- Innovative Rental Housing Types : The architect will have the opportunity to collaborate with in-house designers to develop new rental housing types that cater to residents' evolving needs and preferences. This may include exploring co-living spaces, mixed-use developments, and environmentally sustainable communities, ensuring that the Irvine Company remains at the forefront of innovative housing solutions.

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
