What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Group Home Manager position at Irvine Head Injury Home Inc?
The Residential Group Home Manager oversees and directs the operations of the group home. This person assumes a leadership role and works with our team of Direct Care Professionals (DCPs), providing supervision and training support to ensure their success while providing exceptional care for our residents.
Duties Include:
- Oversee all of the day-to-day operations of a Residential Group Home, ensuring the highest level of care for residents
- Manage and supervise a team of staff members, including caregivers
- Maintain compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring resident safety
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide necessary medical care and support for residents
- Ensure that residents attend appointments
- Ensure resident rights are respected and advocate for their needs and preferences
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- At least 4 years experience in a supervising role in a health care setting; At least two 2 years experience with traumatic brain injury/spinal cord injury
- Upon hire, the successful candidate must satisfactorily complete all training required
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required
- Negative TB test or chest xray (recent)
- The results of a physical exam must indicate the individual is cleared for unrestricted work duties.

Schedule:
Full time as well as on-call position. Every other weekend and every other holiday is required. Must be available to cover, or to make arrangements for any shifts when the regularly-scheduled staff becomes unavailable to work.
