Application Security Engineer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for an Application Security Engineer to join our client, a multi-billion dollar privately held online payment organization. You ll have the chance to build out a new security group as the company divests from its larger parent organization. This is a contract-to-hire position with hours that are slanted toward EST/CST.

Location: Fully Remote

This job expects to pay about $55 70 plus benefits.

What You Will Do:

• Work with a security team focused on building and securing the company s applications and infrastructure.
• Apply SAST (Static Application Security Testing) tools and techniques to identify and resolve vulnerabilities in code.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure secure coding practices and compliance with industry standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of threat models to proactively address potential security risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

What Gets You The Job:

• Strong experience with SAST tools and methodologies. DAST experience is a plus.
• Experience conducting code reviews is required.
• Familiarity with tools like Checkmarx, Black Duck, and ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience with threat modeling is a plus.
• Hands-on coding experience (Java, C#, or similar) is a plus.
• Energetic self-starter who is eager to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field.
