Are you ready to take your cybersecurity skills to the next level in a dynamic and fast-paced security operations environment? We re seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Incident Response to join a global financial organization where you ll play a critical role in defending against cyber threats.
This is a unique opportunity for bilingual Portuguese-speaking professionals eager to grow their security expertise, whether you're currently working in a SOC, have hands-on IT experience, or are looking to transition into an incident response role.
Location: Hybrid onsite 3 days a week in New York City or Los Angeles
This full-time role is expected to pay a base salary of about $135-145k annually
What You Will Do:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Investigate threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity using SIEM tools such as Splunk.
- Support incident response efforts by containing and mitigating security events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen security monitoring and defense strategies.
- Assist in forensic analysis, reporting, and post-incident documentation.
- Continuously improve processes, automate detection techniques, and contribute to security playbooks.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What Gets You The Job:
- Fluent Portuguese REQUIRED.
- 1 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT role with exposure to security monitoring and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, or intrusion detection systems); Splunk experience is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and respond to cyber threats effectively.
- Passion for cybersecurity, with a desire to grow and develop in incident response.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-energy, team-focused environment.
- Security certifications (CEH, GCIH, or similar) are a plus but not required.
