Mainframe Engineer / Administrator (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract Mainframe Engineer / Administrator. The Mainframe Engineer will support identity and access management (IAM) operations within a dynamic project and agile delivery environment. This role will focus on access provisioning, light engineering work, and incident resolution for mainframe, rack systems, and HPE NonStop environments.

Location: Remote

This job expects to pay about $60 75 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:

• Process IAM fulfillment requests for mainframe, Rack F, and HPE NonStop systems.
• Assign, modify, and remove user permissions following security policies.
• Ensure compliance with IAM best practices for system access.
• Execute commands and manage RACF (mainframe) and HPE NonStop access controls.
• Handle system user onboarding, updates, and deactivations.
• Respond to incident tickets related to system access and user provisioning.
• Perform light mainframe engineering tasks, including system command execution and configurations.
• Troubleshoot NonStop ticket issues, such as SAS Prognosis Collector failures.
• Collaborate with software providers for diagnostic file generation and system issue resolution.

What Gets You The Job:

• Experience in mainframe environments with IBM RACF for access control.
• Hands-on experience with HPE NonStop systems for user provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of access management workflows and IAM best practices.
• Familiarity with mainframe command-line operations and system configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for incident resolution.
• Ability to work effectively in a ticket-based fulfillment environment within an agile team structure.
• Experience with identity governance tools in enterprise environments.
• Prior work in financial services or regulated industries.
• Exposure to automation initiatives for IAM processes.
