Data Analyst (SOC 2 Compliance & Active Directory Analysis)

We have an immediate need for a Data Analyst to join a casino/hospitality company for a 6 to 12 months contract that’s remote capable. This role will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to assess user access controls, authentication activity, and security compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT security, compliance, and audit teams to ensure adherence to SOC 2 requirements.

Location: Remote (Pacific Time business hours)

This job expects to pay about $30-36/hr per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:

• Extract and analyze Active Directory (AD) data to evaluate user access, authentication logs, and privilege management.
• Develop Power BI dashboards to visualize security events, role-based access, and compliance metrics.
• Create Excel reports and pivot tables for detailed analysis of access controls and policy adherence.
• Identify inactive accounts, excessive privileges, and access anomalies that may impact SOC 2 compliance.
• Work with IT security and audit teams to provide data-driven insights on AD security controls.
• Automate data extraction and transformation processes for ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Support internal and external SOC 2 audits by providing accurate and timely reports.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, including user access review cycles.
• Assist in risk assessments by analyzing authentication trends and policy violations.

What Gets You The Job:

• 2-3 years of experience in data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI and Excel for data review and manipulation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and ensure accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured compliance processes.
• Experience handling sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality.
• No additional technical system experience required.
