Data Professional - Data Governance, Data Lakes/Marts

We have an immediate need for a contract to hire Data Professional with expertise in Data Lakes/Marts, Data Governance principles and Power BI to join a construction equipment organization. The role requires independent judgement and discretion to solve complex business and technical problems through analytics, modeling, and experimentation.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with IT resources to review data sets and develop integrations to combine databases into new data marts, Data Lakes, Data Marts and SQL databases that support BI reporting and analysis.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Design, build and implement SSRS reports to meet business needs.
• Automate the generation and distribution of PowerBI solutions leveraging the M365 platform.
• Cascade knowledge to business owners and end-users so they can easily consume reports, dashboards and analysis using PowerBI, Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint and the entire M365 suite.
• Support / Build Data Governance strategies

What Gets You The Job:

• Strong understanding and experience in Data Governance.
• Relevant experience developing reporting and analysis solutions with Microsoft PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.
• Proven experience developing solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Services, Data Lakes, Data Marts, Dataverse and SharePoint lists as data sources.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform /Power Apps and other low-code/no-code development platforms is a nice to have
