Pay Grade : Paraprofessional 040 (195 days)
JOB GOAL :
Maintain accurate and complete student data records pertaining to student attendance and records, maintain confidentiality of information
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma or GED
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS :
Knowledge of general office equipment- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively use district student management programs after standard training and with reasonable help-desk assistance
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
EXPERIENCE :
One (1) year of clerical/secretarial experience or other equivalent experience or background
MAJOR PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Work with administrators, counselors, teachers, and other staff to implement positive approaches to improving student attendance and punctuality.
Maintain all student active and inactive cumulative files.
Field calls and respond to customers while Receptionist is at lunch.
Serve as a “back-up” to the Data Processing Clerk through comprehensive cross-
Training.

Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve workplace safety.
