Position Overview: The Director of Land Acquisition is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing land opportunities to support our growing real estate initiatives in South-West Florida. This role requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of local markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead land acquisition efforts through market analysis and site selection.
- Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, and public officials.
- Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence for potential acquisitions.
- Prepare and present acquisition proposals to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, planning, and development.
- Stay informed on zoning laws, environmental regulations, and market trends.
- Monitor competitors and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a team of acquisition professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition or real estate development, strongly prefer prior homebuilding experience
- Proven track record of successful land deals in South-West Florida.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of local real estate markets and regulatory frameworks.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
