Summary:
We are seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Sales Representative for our Southern Indiana Region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, selling ready mix concrete products and services and executing the sales strategy for the assigned geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and assist customers with selecting the best products for their needs.
- Represent the company with customers, industry related associations, federal, state and local government agencies.
- Works with the Sales Manager to develop sales objectives for the market area and recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers; introduces new and existing customers to new product lines to promote growth of market share and profitability.
- Responsible for identifying , working with and tracking projects in the early stage of development through completion.
- Negotiates pricing with customers while maintaining relationships.
- Monitors and reports market conditions in the area of responsibility and their possible effects on the company.
- Frequently communicates with operations, quality control and dispatch personnel regarding customer needs.
- Effectively manage projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Works with the credit department to help resolve major problems or credit issues with delinquent accounts.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a construction field or sales/marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of three years ready mix concrete experience desired.
- Strong and effective communicator, strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications.
- Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback.

- Must be willing to reside within the area of responsibility.
