What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Recruiting Specialist position at Irving Materials?
Pu rpose of Position :
This role will be responsible for identifying and attracting qualified candidates to fill open positions in Tennessee, Kentucky, and South East Indiana. Will work with hiring managers to understand job requirements, screen and interview potential candidates, and manage the entire recruitment process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and job requirements
- Workforce development
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies and methods.
- Source and attract candidates by using various channels such as job boards, social media, referrals; including networking with industry associations, workforce development organizations etc.
- Review and screen resumes and job applications to identify potential candidates
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications and skills
- Manage and coordinate the interview process, including scheduling and follow-up communication with candidates and hiring managers
- Extend job offers and negotiate salary and other terms of employment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and job information in the applicant tracking system
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring
- Lead both High School and College internship programs
- Attend collegiate and non-collegiate job fairs
- Collaborate with HR team and hiring managers to continuously improve the recruitment process and candidate experience
- Confirm all new hire information has been entered into HRIS systems prior to employee start date
- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation
- Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to source and attract high-quality candidates
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment technologies
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Bi-Lingual, Spanish Speaking a Plus
