What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Regional Manager position at Irving Materials?
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and supporting various technical systems and technologies within the imi Indiana footprint, specifically the E&B Paving business unit. Additionally, they will provide company-wide support for various applications and technical infrastructure.
What You'll Do :
- Serve as the local IT representative and provide division-level support
- Assist support desk and other IT personnel with troubleshooting and projects when necessary
- Work closely with local users, plant personnel, management, other IT members, vendors, and consultants to provide end-user support and advancement of the IT systems.
- Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions, and significant modifications to the supporting regional infrastructure
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff in resolving daily support issues.
- Works closely with Division Presidents to ensure that division-wide support levels are meeting their requirements
- Manage IT-related projects.
- Day-to-day management of mobile devices (procurement, setup, troubleshooting)
- Travel approximately 30% of the time to sites within the imi footprint as needed with limited overnight travel.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the field of IT, preferably with network management and end-user support
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or IT-related curriculum preferred
- Continually work towards learning new IT-related skills to stay current with technology by attending training conferences, learning from others, and self-study.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure devices (firewalls, managed switches, etc.)
- Ability to install structured cabling, including networking, wireless, and camera systems
- Experience with ready-mix concrete systems a plus
