Ready Mix Plant Manager

We are seeking a Level 3 Plant Manager. This position is responsible for management of the daily operations of the concrete facility and associated staff. This is a brand new ready-mix plant and looking for someone to come in prior to completion to learn all the aspects of the plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of all material inventories
• Possess positive attitude in servicing the local customer base
• Accountable for product quality
• Perform basic facility maintenance
• Provide leadership to 12 or more drivers and other associated staff assigned to the location
• Monitor employee processes and behaviors to ensure that safe practices are incorporated in all daily activities
• Inspect and make necessary corrections to unsafe conditions that occur at the facility
• Implement preventative maintenance actions that promote a safe work environment
• Review and assess safety concerns in pre and post trip inspection reports
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards in and around the plant as well as fleet operations are compliant with DOT standards
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments
• Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to engage with, and positively motivate delivery and plant teams on a daily basis.
• Accurate processing of customer orders, provide appropriate product advice
• Maintain collaborative lines of communication with the Area Production Manager to address specified goals with the assigned facilities
• May be required to engage and lead employees at remote or multiple facilities
• Potential management and maintenance oversight of multiple facilities including inventory and stockpile management
• Develop a strategic approach to daily, weekly and extended term planning in a changing and complex work environment, to include adjustments in the staffing, equipment, inventory volumes and scheduling.
• Responsible for batching ready mix concrete properly, ensure the product is loaded properly.

• Minimum of (2) years operation related experience and minimum of (7) year supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Must obtain NRMCA Plant Management Certification as outlined by management
• Must obtain ACI Level 2 or equivalent and applicable State/Federal DOT standards as outlined by management
• Must have minimum of (3) years as a CPM2
• Must be OSHA 10 hour certified
• High School diploma, or G.E.D is required
• Must be highly proficient in the utilization of the CommandBatch and CommandSeries systems, accurately monitoring information for effective quality control and customer service
• Must possess a thorough understanding of the mechanical operations of the plant facilities
• Strong and effective communicator with ability to support management of implementing and adapting to change
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to lead and motivate others.
• Computer skills in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Spanish speaking or bilingual a plus
