What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Field Sales position at Irving Oil?
As a Commercial Field Sales representative for Propane, Heating Oil and Diesel, you will be responsible for acquiring net new commercial customers to ensure volume and gross margin targets are met. Your success comes from identifying sales opportunities, selling multiple offerings, maintaining an up-to-date sales pipeline, developing account plans, monitoring performance, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.

Your Responsibilities:
- Identify sales opportunities and sell complex offerings or bundle multiple offerings
- Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and track sales leads to achieve target
- Forecast opportunities that will close in 30 to 60 days
- Act as first point of contact for new customers that activated or received the first order
- Monitor activated accounts to ensure volume and gross margin is fully realized as committed to on the opportunity
- Collaborate with account manager to transition new customers to the account management team
- Communicate internally with key stakeholders and groups to ensure a great customer experience
Your Skills:
- Ability to prospect new accounts and develop territory plans
- Must be comfortable making sales calls
- Experience with Business-to-Business sales
- Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders while being an effective collaborator and team player
- Experience working in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint and Customer Relationship Management tools
Your Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience
- Sales designation or willingness to obtain
- Experience in the petroleum industry an asset
