What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Account Manager - Asphalt position at Irving Oil?
As an Territory Account Manager for Asphalt, you will focus on sales and account management out of our terminal in Chesapeake, Virginia to customers in the Virginia and Mid-Atlantic market. Your goal will be to manage rack-forward sales of asphalt within the Specialty organization of Irving Oil. Your success will surround managing the accounts, cross-selling opportunities, maintaining an up-to-date sales pipeline, developing account plans, monitoring performance, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service.

Your Responsibilities:
- Strong competitive sales abilities to retain existing customers, acquire new customers and increase share of sales in the Virginia/Mid-Atlantic US market
- Establish close customer relationships to maintain and increase sales within these new accounts
- Develop pipeline of net new opportunities to meet growth goals
- Understand customer and market needs in a diversifying competitive industry
- Prepare funnel activity and pipeline reporting for weekly sales cadence calls
- Understand and submit reporting for demand planning
- Participate and provide content to asphalt strategy with respect to product offer and market trends
- Develop relationships with extended team members across the asphalt supply chain
Your Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Strategic thinker
- Strong customer relationship management skills
Your Experience:
- Asphalt paving industry experience considered an asset
- Sales experience preferred
