Welcome to Irving Park Early Learning Center, “IPELC”! Our family-owned childcare centers have been in business since 1999, and have been honoring the “learn through play” philosophy since. We serve children ages 6 weeks - 5 years old.
Currently, we have two Chicago locations that are directly located across from one another. Both locations share a dedicated leadership team!
- IPELC - Whipple (3023 West Montrose) - 7:00am to 6:00pm
- IPELC - Sacramento (3000 West Montrose) - 7:00am to 5:30pm

IPELC is looking for a Part-Time Floater to join our program. Hours offered are 2-6 or 3-6 Monday through Friday.
This position requires flexibility in shifting tasks throughout the day, and exposure to all classroom ages on a changing basis.
Teachers must live within a 5 mile radius of our locations.
This position requires a background check clearance, three written references, and a DCFS mandated medical form.

Education Requirements:

- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- First Aid & CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, jump, dance, walk, run, reach carry, lift 50 lbs.
- Provide toileting and diapering assistance to children in adherence to state standards.
- Consistently maintains cleanliness and order of the classroom environment. This includes but is not limited to mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry, and trash removal.
- Send messages, photos, and updates to parents through the app for each attending student in the assigned classroom.
- Ability to redirect students and promote self-regulation in a kind and considerate manner.
- Uphold mandated uniform expectations.
- Uphold and maintain classroom, position, and behavioral standards in adherence to DCFS and company policy.
- Consistent in punctuality and attendance.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to support Lead Teachers in behavioral and academic processes within the classroom.
