What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineering Co-op - Fort Edward, NY - Summer/Fall 2025 position at Irving Tissue?
What We Offer
- $25.75 -$27.40 per hour, depending on grade level

- Perform data mining, six sigma exercises, and structured problem solving
- Work with a variety of programs (Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Query M, Power Automate, Power Apps, and REST APIs) to drive reliability and uptime
- Work with Continuous Improvement team to collaborate with multiple departments
- Assist in preparing Continuous Improvement materials; create and maintain Share Point site and PowerPoint presentations
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records
- Work in cross functional teams to drive dashboard and data initiatives
- Working with vendors supplying high level services in all these areas
- Interacting with Operators who run our assets
- Education Required: Currently enrolled in a 4-year Computer Science, Data Engineering, Systems and Computer Engineering or related degree program with at least 2 years completed
- Fluent in Power BI, MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Awareness of data analysis and SQL database
- Comfortable working with large data sets
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas to support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A passion for problem-solving using technology
