Job Title: Logistics Program Manager
Position Overview: As a Logistics Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing long-term business relationships with our carriers that are win-win while ensuring that our delivery service to our customers is exceptional and cost effective. Develop and implement digital strategies related to transportation and warehousing. This role will also oversee on-time delivery reporting, freight payment to our carriers and the freight claim process.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT in the identification, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of a Transportation Management System (TMS) and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that will simplify and streamline the transportation planning and warehouse management processes while increasing visibility and connectivity with the rest of our organization, customers, and carriers.
- Work with International Transportation providers, freight forwarders and brokers to import seating components from suppliers and to export to customers in a cost-effective and reliable manner. Meeting all the regulatory and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Project Management to develop and coordinate warehouse and transportation plans to support Venue 360 projects.
- In a team environment, lead Logistics’ plans to meet the developing requirements for an ecommerce market strategy.
- Monitors carrier capacities and makes appropriate adjustments.
- Clearly communicates with the carriers our long-term forecast along with any specific delivery requirements.
- Works with our carrier contacts with the intent of developing long-term business partnerships and agreements.
- Oversee the audit and coding of carrier invoices for on-time payment within which we pay for what is in our carrier agreements.
- Monitor carrier performance to ensure that our carriers represent Irwin Seating in alignment with our core values. Reports the results internally and with our carriers to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with transportation safety and regulations.
- Develop countermeasures in response to internal and external customer complaints related to logistics. Customer problems are researched and corrected.
- Develop and maintain the data necessary in the transportation planning system.
- Develop and implement transportation strategies and plans to meet company objectives.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and legal requirements.
- Ensure trade documentation is accurate and meets customs regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation and warehouse management role is required.
- 2-3 years of experience with managing the transportation function related to importing from Asia and exporting Internationally.
- Proven experience with leading a Logistics function in B2B and B2C market Logistics strategies.
- Excellent leadership, customer service and financial skills
- Ability to communicate professionally on all levels.
- Detail oriented, and able to analyze large amounts of data to identify trends in support of action plans.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong knowledge and experienced with successful implementation of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project), ability to work with the company’s ERP system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud machinery. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
