Job Title: Production Worker
Reports To: Department Team Coordinator
SUMMARY Makes product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attendance is required.
Will follow assigned rotation plan within cell
Produces parts that meet customer requirements.
Sets up equipment.
Maintains equipment in a clean, safe condition. Follow Preventive Maintenance Procedure before using any piece of equipment or machinery.
Adjusts and operates a variety of equipment as needed to perform work.
Equipment could include a Fork lift where employees need to have a valid drivers license along with passing Irwin Seating Hi lo certification process.
Establishes quality requirements and safety procedures for the cell.
Follows established performance and quality standards and procedures to perform job.
Reports and records rework and scrap. Updates any other assigned charts, graphs, sheets, etc., as specified by their Team Coordinator.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Must have the training, competencies, and education necessary to perform any and all functions and tasks assigned to them throughout Irwin Seating Company's quality policy, quality objectives, and quality management system documentation including the quality manual, operating procedures, and work instructions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred as part of the equivalent combination of the required 3-6 mos of education and experience. Minimum of 6th grade reading and writing levels.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret work documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete time cards, inventory records, simple reports, and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to cell members and other employees of the organization. Testing requirements must be met.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100"s. Testing requirements must be met.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
May require Hi-lo license.
